Problem/Research Statement: Florida has a risk of wildfires all year round. Thousands upon thousands of acres of forest, swamp, and brush land are engulfed by flames each year, including homes that are surrounded by woodlands. SH-010 will coat the outdoor walls of a home, thereby impeding the progress of an approaching wildfire.

ISTF Project Title: Smart Lights
Problem/Research Statement: During school, the lights are always either turned on or turned off, which doesn’t make it efficient for either the teacher, the energy, or lighting bill. What if there was a way to automatically turn the lights on or off? There are motion censored lights, but what if there were lights that knew what you were doing, and could turn off when you needed them to, without getting up. The lights would notice when something such as the SMART- board or Elmo came on and the teacher needed to turn the lights off for the students to see, with these lights, it will make teaching easier and more energy efficient

ISTF Project Title: Pocket Buddy
Problem/Research Statement: Pocket Buddy is a hand- held device that includes pulse and blood pressure monitor, wireless electrocardiogram, glucose level detector, and body thermometer. Wireless electrocardiogram, a component of Pocket Buddy, allows the user to send their heart information to their doctors by pressing a button and also save the information in a disk. Pocket Buddy allows elders to easily check their body condition anywhere and anytime
