In today’s technologically based society, people need a clean, reliable, efficient, inexpensive source of energy. Currently, energy is produced by non-renewable, contaminating, and expensive fossil fuels. Within a short period of time this energy source will be depleted.
To help satisfy the growing need for a dependable energy source, we propose an idea; to produce energy utilizing highways. Many vehicles, moving on highways emit unused heat through their tailpipes. By placing thermoelectric generators on highways to collect the heat, we can transform this wasted heat into useful energy.
