Acid rain contributes to the damages of trees and the acidification of lakes and streams. However, acid rain does not only affect the environment, but it is also detrimental to public health.

Problem/Research Statement: See Cow is an integrated navigational system that will alert boaters that a manatee is too close to their marine craft. This unique sensor will not only warn the boater that a manatee is nearby, but will also alert the manatee with a loud sound.

Problem/Research Statement: Foot injuries are very common regardless of anyone’s walk of life. People just do not have the time to rest. The best treatment for a minor foot injury is RICE: Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. If this is not done right after an injury occurs it can lead to a more serious injury and even permanent damage.

Problem/Research Statement: Many office buildings can get very hot in the summer, and this costs a lot of money to air condition. Air conditioning an entire office building can also use a very large amount of energy, and is also quite wasteful.

Problem/Research Statement: Many accidents are caused by the headlights of one car affecting other drivers' ability to see. When drivers are driving on non-illuminated roads with their high beams on they may not be able to turn their high beams off in time, affecting the other drivers on the road.

Problem/Research Statement: The problem that we are focusing on is water shortage. Even though this problem is global, we are addressing it on a local scale. Water shortage is caused by many factors which include overconsumption, lack of access, and the wasting of it. The water crisis is an increasingly urgent problem all over the world.
