Technical advisors and Final Judges complete profile setup. Although the
initial procedure for creating these profiles is somewhat similar,
advisors and judges provide this information for different reasons,
and the steps afterward diverge.
Technical Advisors
A National Critical
Technology (NCT) Profile allows technical advisors who setup
accounts and did not have prior contact with a student team or
teacher to potentially find projects that match their expertise.
-
Login to your ISTF Technical Advisor Account
("My ISTF"
page).
-
At the bottom of your main ("Project
List") page, click the "Profile Setup"
button.
-
Complete the Verification Questions so that the ISTF Director can officially confirm your
identity. (NOTE:
You can only answer these questions once through your
account.)
-
Click the "Add/Edit/Remove NCT
Sub-Areas" button. You can choose up to 10 of the 61
NCT Sub-Areas to represent your knowledge and experience in
relation to the National
Critical Technologies (NCTs).

all ten selections are made.

NCT selections, click the "View Matches" button to
review the available projects within the categories you chose. (NOTE:
You can add to and edit your selections at any time and see
how it affects your list of matching projects.)
