ISTF project number #07-1703 was developed in response to the 2007-2008 Internet Science and Technology Fair.

Our ocean today is filled with many pollutants, such as harmful chemicals. These chemicals are dangerous to the ocean. Fertilizers runoff plays a major role in polluting the ocean. Fertilizer runoff comes mostly from farms. When farmers use fertilizers to enhance the growth of their fields, the fertilizer doesn't get absorbed by the plants and and some of it soaks into the ground and lead into the ocean, harming the life of the ocean. Our team is trying to find a solution to stop the fertilizers from entering the ocean!
